PART 1:
1 Scope
1.1 This part of GB/T 16507 specifies the general technical requirements in regard to materials, structure design, strength calculation of pressure parts, fabrication, inspection, testing and acceptance, safety appurtenances and instruments, and installation, etc. of water-tube boilers.
1.2 This part is applicable to stationary water-tube boilers within the following range:
a) Steam boilers with the rated steam pressure larger than or equal to 0.1MPa;
b) Hot-water boilers with the rated water-delivery pressure or rated thermal power larger than or equal to 0.1MPa or 0.1MW respectively;
c) Flue-type or flue-shell composite heat recovery boilers with surplus (waste) heat utilization as the main purpose.
1.3 This part is not applicable to the water-tube boilers within the following range:
a) Movable water-tube boilers;
b) Cooling devices required for the cooling of equipment and process flow.

3.1 Terms and definitions

3.1.1 Water-tube boiler
Boilers with the flue gas flowing outside the heating surface tube and working medium inside the tube (hereinafter referred to as boiler).

3.1.2 Pressure component
The component bearing the pressure of internal or external working medium; it is the basic unit of boiler pressure parts.
