3 General Provisions
3.1 The amusement rides fly tower category refers to the amusement rides that person carrier part hangs with tension element, rotates around vertical axis when fluctuation and adopts the similar movement type.
3.2 The design, manufacturing, installation, reconstruction, maintenance, test, inspection and application management of amusement rides fly tower category shall meet the relevant specifications of this standard and GB 8408-2008.
3.3 The design, manufacturing, installation and application of amusement rides fly tower category shall ensure personal safety.
3.4 All other requirements not mentioned in this standard shall be implemented according to relevant national standards, regulations and codes.
4 Specification on Basic Design
4.1 Basic requirements
4.1.1 The design of amusement rides fly tower category shall be adopted with design instruction, design calculation book, operation instruction and the full set of construction drawings meeting relevant national standards.
4.1.2 For the design of amusement rides fly tower category, the design service life of complete machine and main components shall be specified, and the service life of complete machine shall not be less than 23000h.
4.1.3 Design of amusement rides fly tower category shall meet those specified in GB 8408-2008 and GB/T 15706 (all parts).

4.5.1 As for important axes and axis pins, in addition to stress calculation, whether the fatigue strength shall be checked shall be determined according to load stress amplitude, and both shall meet the requirements of the safety coefficients given in 4.5 of GB 8408-2008.Those important axes and axis pins being difficult to dismantle shall be designed according to infinite lift.
4.5.2 Design indexes of steel structures and their connections shall be in accordance with those specified in 3.4 "design index" of GB 50017-2003.
4.5.3 Fatigue calculation of steel structures and their connections shall be in accordance with those specified in Chapter 6 "fatigue calculation" of GB 50017-2003.
4.6 The allowable value of acceleration shall be in accordance with those specified in 4.7 of GB 8408-2008.
4.7 The design of amusement rides fly tower category shall be fully considered with passenger leading measures when the equipment is out of service during operation.
4.8 The amusement rides fly tower category with height larger than 20m shall be considered the influence of wind load for structural stability and subgrade, the structure stiffness, stability and safety coefficient for preventing turning over shall be calculated, and the safety coefficient for preventing turning over shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 4 of GB 8408-2008.
4.9 Material selection
4.9.1 The metallic materials shall be in accordance with those specified in 8.2 of GB 8408-2008 and 3.3 of GB 50017-2003, and the material bearing alternate load structure should not be adopted with casting pieces.
