GB/T 18414-2025 Textiles - Determination of chlorinated phenols and ortho-phenylphenol
WARNING: Persons using this standard should be familiar with normal laboratory practice. This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user to establish appropriate safety and health practices and to ensure compliance with any national regulatory conditions.
1 Scope
This document describes a method detecting the presence of 19 chlorophenols and 2-phenylphenol in textiles using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) meter.
This document applies to a wide range of textiles.

3 Terms and definitions
There are no terms and definitions defined in this document.
4 Principle
The specimen is ultrasonically extracted by potassium hydroxide/methanol solution, derivatized by acetic anhydride, extracted by n-hexane, determined by GC-MS meter and quantified by internal standard method.
5 Reagents and materials
Unless otherwise specified, analytical grade reagents are adopted for the purpose of this method.
5.1 n-Hexane, CAS No. 110-54-3, chromatographic grade.
5.2 Water, Grade 3 defined in GB/T 6682.
5.3 Acetic anhydride, CAS No. 108-24-7.
5.4 Sodium sulfate anhydrous, CAS No. 7757-82-6.
5.5 Chlorophenol and 2-phenylphenol GBW/GSB reference material, purity ≥97% (mass fraction), as specified in Annex A.
5.6 2-Chlorophenol-d4 (Internal Standard 1, IS 1), CAS No. 93951-73-6, purity ≥97% (mass fraction).
5.10 Potassium hydroxide solution: Take an appropriate amount of potassium hydroxide and prepare into a 2 mol/L potassium hydroxide solution with water.
5.11 Standard stock solution: Take an appropriate amount of chlorophenol and 2-phenylphenol GBW/GSB reference material (5.5) respectively, accurate to 0.1mg, and prepare into a 1,000mg/L stock solution with acetonitrile, chromatographic grade.
