Forged branch outlet fittings
1 Scope
This document specifies the varieties and codes, pressure rating, nozzle dimensions, special branch outlet fittings, order information, shapes, dimensions and tolerances, materials, design and manufacture, heat treatment, inspection and test, marking, surface protection and packaging, product quality certificate and other requirements of forged branch outlet fittings, and also provides an installation guide.
This document is applicable to branch outlet fittings forged of steel in piping systems.
Note: The branch outlet fittings in this document refer to the reducing branch outlet fittings, i.e., the branch outlet fittings with the main pipe being larger than the branch pipe in diameter.
