3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3291 (all parts) and the following apply.
3.1
H-test adhesive strength
force required to pull a unit length of cord from an H-shaped rubber cord test piece in the direction perpendicular to the rubber block
3.2
dip pick-up
ratio of the constant mass of the dipped material to that of the blank cord after separating the dipped component of the dipped cord from the blank cord via chemical methods and drying it to a constant mass
3.3
elongation at specified load
strain of cord at specified load
3.4
hot air thermal shrinkage
ratio of the length reduction of cord due to the action of dry and hot air at a certain temperature to the original length
3.5
warp density within specified width from each edge
number of warps on both sides of the fabric within specified length from each edge of the cord fabric
3.6
net weight
weight of dipped cord fabric obtained by deducting the weight of all packaging materials from the weight of cord fabric roll when the roll leaves the dipping machine
3.7
dimensional stability index
sum of elongation at specified load and hot air thermal shrinkage
3.8
linear density of the dipped cord
absolute dry mass of a certain length of dipped cord
4 Product classification and specifications
4.1 Dipped polyester cord fabric may be divided into those with high modulus and low shrinkage (HMLS), with high tenacity, high modulus and low shrinkage (HT-HMLS), and with high dimensional stability, high modulus and low shrinkage (HDS-HMLS) by their physical and chemical properties.
