1 Scope
This standard specifies such contents as the safety objective, management principle, radiation safety, decommissioning waste safety and industrial safety requirements etc. for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities.
This standard mainly involves the radiation hazard relevant to the decommissioning of nuclear facilities and indirectly involves non-radiation hazards possibly generated during the decommissioning activities.
This standard is applicable to the decommissioning of nuclear facilities which are not shut down due to accidents and those shut down due to accidents may also refer to the provisions of this standard. This standard is not applicable to the renovation of the shut uranium, thorium mining and metallurgy tailings ponds, waste rock site, escorial, waste mines and the shut-down of facilities for disposing radioactive waste.
