1 Scope
This standard specifies the relevant terms and definitions for coke sampling and preparation, sampling locations, house and equipment tools as well as the sampling and preparation method for industrial analytical samples and physical property inspection samples.

lot and batch
coke of the same specification delivered at the same time is lot, and mass of a lot of coke is called batch

basic batch
specified minimum batch

share sample
coke sample obtained with sampling tool acting for one time (several times for manual sampling) at one position of a lot of coke
