This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization — Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This standard replaces GB/T 20096-2006 Roller skate. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 20096-2006:
a) The category of roller skate users in the classification and structure of the standard has been modified, and the modified classification corresponds to the experimental method (see 4.3; 3.3 of Edition 2006);
b) The shoe size and model in this standard have been modified, and the shoe size has been listed separately in Chapter 4 (see Chapter 5; 4.1 of Edition 2006);
c) The angle requirement on the angle between the horizontal line of the wheel and the ground in this standard has been deleted, and the ground clearance of the brake in this standard has been modified (see 6.1.2; 4.5.11 of Edition 2006);
d) The requirements and test methods for color fastness to rubbing of lining and insock have been added to this standard (see 6.13 and 7.13);
e) The content and test method of decomposable, harmful aromatic amine dye have been added to this standard (see 6.14 and 7.14);
f) The content and test method of free or partially hydrolyzable formaldehyde have been added to this standard (see 6.15 and 7.15);
g) The total amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and content of benzo[a]pyrene in plastics, as well as their test methods have been added to this standard (see 6.16 and 7.16);
h) The test conditions and schematic diagram of vertical impact test have been modified in this standard (see 7.9.1; 5.15 of Edition 2006);
i) The test conditions and schematic diagram of frontal impact test have been modified in this standard (see 7.9.2; 5.13 of Edition 2006);
j) The test conditions and schematic diagram of impact test for the brake have been modified in this standard (see 7.12; 5.12 of Edition 2006).

3 Terms and definitions
No terms and definitions are listed in this standard.
4 Classification and structure
4.1 Roller skates are divided into single-row roller skate and double-row roller skate according to their wheel arrangement.
4.2 Roller skates are divided into integral roller skate and detachable roller skate according to the connection mode of shoe and frame.
4.3 Roller skates are divided into Categories A and B according to the weight of users. Roller skate of Category A is for people with a weight of 20kg to 100kg, while, roller skate of Category B is for people with a weight of 20kg to 60kg, and with feet length less than 260mm.
4.4 See Annex A for the main structure of a roller skate.
5 Shoe size
The shoe size shall be specified in accordance with regulations in GB/T 3293.1.
6 Requirements
6.1 Dimension
6.1.1 The same parts in the same pair of roller skates are symmetrical and consistent with dimensional tolerance that shall comply with the regulations of Table 1.
Table 1 Dimensional tolerance
In mm
Inspection item Tolerance
Wheel height 1.0
Counter height 2.0
Outsole length 2.0
