1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for detecting extractable carcinogenic dyestuffs (see Annex A) on printed textiles with high performance liquid chromatography - diode array detector (HPLC/DAD).
This standard is applicable to printed and dyed textiles.

3 Theory
After the sample is extracted with methanol, the extract is subjected to qualitative and quantitative determination with the high performance liquid chromatography - diode array detector (HPLC/DAD).
4 Reagents and Materials
Unless otherwise specified, analytically-pure reagents and Grade 2 water (defined in GB/T 6682) are adopted for the purposes of this method.
