Introduction of GB/T 20716.1-2006

1 Scope This part specifies the dimensions of, and specifies the contact allocation and tests and test requirements for, connectors for the electrical connection of the braking systems and running gear of towing and towed vehicles with 24 V nominal supply voltage. In addition, it specifies a park socket used to receive and store the plug when disconnected. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this part of GB/T 20716. The contacts shall be floating and shall align to the datum position when plug and socket are engaged. 4.2 Plug Dimensions of the plug shall be in accordance with Figure 1. The locking lever design shall take into consideration the space required for screws used to fasten the socket (see Figure 2). 4.3 Socket Dimensions of the socket shall be in accordance with Figure 2. The cover is shown in the open position: it shall close automatically when the plug is disconnected. 4.4 Park socket
