Foreword
This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 23336-2009 General technical requirements for semitrailer. In addition to changes in structure and editorial changes, the following technical deviations have been made with respect to GB/T 23336-2009:
a) The “Scope” is modified (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2009);
b) The term and definition of brake release time is added (see 3.1);
c) The requirements for external dimension, axle load and mass limit of semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.2);
d) The requirements for semi-trailers engaged in road transportation are added (see 4.1.3);
e) The requirements for refrigerated van semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.4);
f) The requirements for semi-trailer equipped with hydraulic tail-plate are added (see 4.1.5);
g) The requirements for fixing point of semi-trailer are added (see 4.1.6);
h) The requirements for the height of bearing surface of container semi-trailer before loading are changed (see 4.1.8 hereof; 4.1.3 of Edition 2009);

1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and storage of semi-trailer.
This document is applicable to semi-trailers running on the road and other semi-trailers may refer to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3730.1 and GB/T 17350 and the following apply.
3.1
brake release time
the longest time from the start of service brake valve until the pressure of each brake chamber drops to 0.035 MPa, when the initial air pressure of the trailer service brake chamber is 0.67 MPa
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Complete vehicle
4.1.1 Semi-trailer shall be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents approved through the established procedures.
4.1.2 The limits of dimension, axle load and mass of semi-trailer shall meet the requirements of GB 1589.
4.1.3 Semi-trailer engaged in road transportation shall meet the requirements of JT/T 1178.2.
4.1.4 Refrigerated van semi-trailer shall meet the requirements of GB/T40475.
4.1.5 Semi-trailer equipped with hydraulic tail-plate shall meet the requirements of GB/T 37706.
4.1.6 Semi-trailer shall design the tethering points as required, and the number, installation position and strength of tethering points shall meet the requirements of JT/T 882-2014, Annex C.
4.1.7 Parts and assemblies with special functions in semi-trailer shall meet the requirements of corresponding national standards or professional standards.
4.1.8 The height of bearing surface of semi-trailer for container transportation shall meet the following requirements:
a) For containers with a height of 2 591 mm (8 ft 6 in), the height of no-load bearing surface shall not be greater than 1409 mm;
b) For containers with a height of 2 896 mm (9 ft 6 in), the height of no-load bearing surface shall not be greater than 1104 mm.
4.1.9 The mechanical coupling interchangeability between semi-trailer and tractor shall meet the requirements of GB/T 20070 or GB/T 39015.2.
4.1.10 When the combination vehicles of semi-trailer are full, the structure and configuration of the semi-trailer shall ensure that the vehicles meet the requirements of relevant standards and runs safely at the speed required by the product design.
4.1.11 When the semi-trailer equipped with top cover of cargo box, the top cover shall meet the requirements of use. In the process of use, the top cover of container shall be able to prevent the goods from falling and spilling.

1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions

4 Technical requirements
