Determination of Phthalate Esters in Foods
1 Scope
This standard specifies method of determination for content of phthalate esters in food with gas chromatogram - mass-spectrometer (GC-MS).
This standard is applicable to determination for contents of phthalate esters (of 16 types, detailed in Appendix A) in food.
Detection limits in this standard: 1.5 mg/kg for determinating phthalate ester compounds in oil-containing sample; 0.05 mg/kg for determinating ones in oil-free sample.
2 Principles
Foods after being extracted and purified are detected by gas chromatograph - mass spectrometer running under feature selective ion monitoring (SIM) mode, determinating nature (quality) by abundance ratio of chips, and determinating quantity by standard sample quantitative ion external standard method.
