1 Scope This Standard specifies the gravimetric method or gas-volumetric method after combustion in the pipe furnace for the determination of non-combined carbon content. This Standard is applicable to the determination of non-combined carbon content with the content of 0.030 % (m/m)~ 5.00 % (m/m) in iron and carbon steel. 2 Normative References The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard.
