This standard specifies three determination methods for melamine in raw milk, dairy products and products containing milk, i.e. high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), liquid chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrography (LC-MS/MS) and gas chromatography-mass spectrum [including gas chromatography-mass spectrography (GC-MS), gas chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrography (GC-MS/MS)].
This standard is applicable to the quantitative determination of melamine in raw milk, dairy products and products containing milk; liquid chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrography (including gas chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrum) are simultaneously applicable to the qualitative corroboration of melamine in raw milk, dairy products and products containing milk.
The quantitation limit of high-performance liquid chromatography in this standard is 2 mg/kg; the quantitation limit of liquid chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrometry is 0.01 mg/kg; the quantitation limit of gas chromatography-mass spectrography is 0.05 mg/kg (among which the quantitation limit of gas chromatography-mass spectrum/mass spectrography is 0.005 mg/kg).
