Leather Sandals
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, test rules, packing, transportation and storage of leather sandals with upper made from natural leather, artificial leather, synthetic leather, textiles or multiple materials, manufactured by processes of gluing, sewing, mould pressing, vulcanizing, injection molding, grouting, etc.
This standard is applicable to leather sandals (including long sandals) for adults, and not applicable to leather sandals (including long sandals) for infants and children. Sandals with upper made from other materials and manufactured by the equivalent processes may also refer to the provisions of this standard.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2703 as well as the following ones apply.

primary site
generally, it refers to outer side of upper, forepart, counter-heel and toe-puff.
3.2
secondary site
generally, it refers to inner side and backside of upper.
4 Product Classification
4.1 By wearer
The products are classified into two categories by wearer:
a) Leather sandals (boots) for men;
b) Leather sandals (boots) for women.
4.2 By style
The products are classified into six categories by style:
a) Belt loop leather sandals (boots);
b) Close toe & close back leather sandals (boots);
c) Hollow leather sandals (boots);
d) Front-hollow leather sandals (boots);
e) Back-hollow leather sandals (boots);
f) Others.
4.3 Classification by upper material
The products are classified into four categories by upper material:
a) Leather sandals (boots) with natural leather (top layer leather, split leather) upper;
b) Leather sandals (boots) with artificial leather/synthetic leather upper;
c) Leather sandals (boots) with textile upper;
d) Leather sandals (boots) with upper made of multiple materials.
4.4 Classification by manufacturing process
The products are classified into seven categories by manufacturing process:
a) Bonded leather sandals (boots);
b) Sewed leather sandals (boots);
c) Mould pressing leather sandals (boots);
d) Vulcanized leather sandals (boots);
e) Injection molding leather sandals (boots);

5 Requirements
5.1 General Requirements
5.1.1 The shoe size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.1.
5.1.2 The last size shall meet the requirements of GB/T 3293.
5.1.3 The product marking shall meet the requirements of QB/T 2673.
5.1.4 The shoe materials shall meet the requirements of corresponding product standards.
5.1.5 See Annex A for after-sale quality judgment.
5.1.6 Defects which affect wearing shall be avoided.
5.2 Sensory quality
See Table 1 for sensory quality requirements. Items 1~5 and severe defects in Note 1 are the primary ones, Items 6~10 are secondary ones.
