Cabinets for Low-voltage Switchgear — Part 1: Generic Specification
1 Scope
This part specifies the terms and definitions, structural types and series of dimensions, environment and climate, safety requirements, information provided by the manufacturer, general requirements, testing, inspection rules, packaging and storage of cabinets for low-voltage switchgear.
This part is applicable to cabinet products for low-voltage switchgear (hereinafter referred to as “products”) that meet the following conditions:
— installed and used indoors;
— made of metal materials;
— electrical equipment and components with a rated voltage of AC not exceeding 1 000 V, frequency not exceeding 1 000 Hz, or DC not exceeding 1 500 V shall be internally installed.
Racks, chassis, consoles and other mechanical structure products used in low-voltage systems may refer to this part.
