3 Classification
3.1 Type
3.1.1 Products are classified as pre-applied (Y) type and wet installed (W) type according to construction mode.
3.1.2 By body materials, products are classified as macromolecule waterproof sheets (P type) and bituminous waterproof sheets using polyester reinforcements (PY type)
3.1.3 By cementing surface, products are classified as single-side adhesion (S), and double-side adhesion (D). Bituminous waterproof sheets using polyester reinforcements PY (type) should adopt double-side adhesion.
3.1.4 By property, wet installed products are classified as type I and type II.
3.2 Specification
3.2.1 Thickness of pre-applied waterproof sheets:
Type P: body macromolecule materials in thickness of 0.7 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm; corresponding sheets in through thickness of 1.2 mm, 1.7 mm, 2.0 mm.
Type PY: 4.0 mm.
3.2.2 Thickness of wet installed waterproof sheets:
Type P (through thickness of sheets): 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm.
Type PY: 3.0 mm, 4.0 mm.
3.3 Marks
Products shall be marked by the order "construction mode, type, cementing surface, body material thickness / through thickness, area, and code number of this standard".
Sample: wet installed type I double-side adhesion bituminous waterproof sheets using polyester reinforcements (20 m2, 3.0 mm) is marked as:
W PY I D 3.0 mm 20 m2-GB/T 23457-2009.
3.4 Purpose
Pre-applied waterproof sheets are applicable to underground waterproofing works and so on, and directly cemented with post-cast structural concrete mixture.
Wet installed waterproof sheets are used for non-exposed water-proofing works, and cemented with base course through cement grout; sheets should be lapped each other in a self-adhering way.
