1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of feed additive L-carnitine hydrochloride.
This standard is applicable to L-carnitine hydrochloride prepared from epichlorohydrin as the starting material.

3 Requirements
3.1 Properties
The product is white or white-like crystalline powder with slightly fishy taste and hygroscopicity, which is very soluble in water, soluble in anhydrous methanol and anhydrous ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, insoluble in trichloromethane, and easy to agglomerate after long-term storage.
3.2 Technical indicators
The technical indicators shall meet those specified in Table 1.

4 Test methods
Unless otherwise specified, only recognized analytically pure reagents and Class-III water specified in GB/T 6682 are used for the analysis; the standard solution and impurity solution shall be prepared in accordance with GB/T 601, GB/T 602 and GB/T 603.
4.1 Reagents and materials
4.1.1 Glacial acetic acid.
4.1.2 Glycerin.
4.1.3 Methanol: chromatographically pure.
4.1.4 Potassium dihydrogen phosphate.

3 Requirements
3.1 Properties

4 Test methods
Unless otherwise specified, only recognized analytically pure reagents and Class-III water specified in GB/T 6682 are used for the analysis; the standard solution and impurity solution shall be prepared in accordance with GB/T 601, GB/T 602 and GB/T 603.
