1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, storage etc. of radiator for converter of electric locomotive and electric motor units.
This standard is applicable to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of newly-made radiator for converter of electric locomotive and electric motor units.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 Cooling medium
The liquid or gas transmitting the heat energy of heating part of the converter semiconductor device to the radiator or taking the heat energy away from the radiator. Liquid refers to the mixed solution made up with anti-freezing solution and purified water according to certain proportion (hereinafter referred to as "water") while gas refers to air.
3.2 primary radiator
The equipment transmitting the heat energy of heating component of semiconductor device to water cooling medium.
