1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms, order contents, classification, category code and principal parameter, structure and model, requirements, test methods, inspection rules marking, packaging, transportation and storage for beam-type lifting device.
This Standard is applicable to beam-type lifting device for hoisting under crane hook (hereinafter referred to as lifting device). Other beam-type lifting devices not specified in this Standard may also refer to it.

3 Term and Definition
For the purpose of this Standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
Beam-type lifting device
Device connected with crane hook with beam body as main body for load suspending as required by load hoisting.
3.2
Beam body
Rigid main member in lifting device, also referred to as transverse beam.
3.3
Sling
Part connected between beam body and load or crane and beam body during load lifting, with or without end fittings, E.g. lifting belt, wire rope sling, chain sling or other connecting pieces made of synthetic fibers.
