1 Scope
This standard specifies requirements on terms and definitions, designation, technical requirements, sampling and test specimen, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation of iron castings, etc.
This standard is applicable to the compacted (vermicular) graphite iron castings cast in a sand mould, or a mould of comparable thermal behaviour. This standard may be used as reference for the compacted (vermicular) graphite iron castings produced by other casting methods.
