1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, product model, metrological requirements, test methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of automatic gravimetric filling instruments.
This Standard also provides standardized requirements, test procedures and tables for tracing-type evaluation on metrological or technical characteristics of automatic gravimetric filling instruments.
This Standard is applicable to such automatic gravimetric filling instruments (hereinafter referred to as "filling instruments") that one or more loads of filling makes up predetermined mass via automatic weighing.
This Standard places no constraint on the maximum capacity or minimum capacity of filling instruments. In addition, filling instruments also may be required to comply with certain requirements of other national standards. For example, where filling instruments adopt non-automatic modes under normal conditions, they shall meet requirements of relevant standards regarding non-automatic weighing instruments; where the fill is less than or equal to 25kg, they shall meet the requirements of relevant standards regarding quantity of product in prepackages.
