Sports protective products -
Knitted products general technical requirements
1 Scope
This standard specifies the basic technical requirements, testing methods and sampling rules of knitted sports protective products. Other requirements for sports protective products shall be executed according to relevant product standards.
This standard is applicable to knitted sports protective products which are woven with textile fiber as the main raw material and formed by knitting technology or which are made by combining knitted fabrics with polyurethane foam materials, including ankle protection, leg protection, knee protection, waist protection, wrist protection, arm protection, elbow protection, shoulder pad and headband.
This standard is not applicable to the sports protective products for infants of 36 months or below.

3.2 The products for children shall meet the requirements of GB 31701.
3.3 The tensile elastic recovery rate is only assessed for cylindrical products containing elastic materials such as spandex and rubber bands, and products fitted with knitted fabric and polyurethane foam are not assessed.
3.4 In the N-nitrosamine item, only rubber bands used in protective gear are tested. See Annex A for the list of N-nitrosamines that cannot be detected, and the limit value is less than or equal to 0.5mg/kg.
4 Inspection methods
4.1 Test for color fastness to perspiration
In accordance with GB/T 3922.
4.2 Test for color fastness to water
In accordance with GB/T 5713.
4.3 Test for colour fastness to rubbing
In accordance with GB/T 3920, the general assessment is longitudinal direction.
4.4 Test for formaldehyde content
In accordance with GB/T 2912.1.
4.5 pH value test
In accordance with GB/T 7573.
4.6 Peculiar smell test
In accordance with GB 18401.
4.7 Test for decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes
In accordance with GB/T 17592.
4.8 Test for sharp objects such as metal needles
In accordance with GB/T 24121; test sensitivity (standard iron ball test card): 1.0mm.
4.9 Test for tensile elastic recovery rate
In accordance with FZ/T 70006-2004, 8.3.2.2. Only the extension direction of the product is tested, generally the transverse tension. No damage to products, double-layer clamping. The width of the clamp is greater than or equal to 50mm, the constant speed of the holder movement is 300mm/min, the return speed is 300mm/min, the fixed force is 35N, and the number of repeated stretching times is 3. According to the size of the specimen, the distance length of the tester may be 50mm or 100mm. If the height of the product, that is, the width of the clamped specimen, is less than 50mm, test according to the actual size. For products with elastic mouth, the elastic mouth may be clamped; for products without elastic mouth, any part may be clamped. The average of three specimens shall be taken and rounded to an integer according to GB/T 8170.
4.10 Test for extractable heavy metals
Tests for extractable heavy metal plumbum (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) shall be carried out according to GB/T 17593.1, and tests for heavy metal arsenic (As) shall be carried out according to GB/T 17593.4. Or the heavy metals such as plumbum (Pb), cadmium (Cd) and arsenic (As) can be measured according to GB/T 17593.2.
4.11 N-nitrosamine test
In accordance with GB/T 24153. When using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to test the content of N-nitrosamine, there may be false positive result. If yes, it is recommended to use high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS/MS) or other suitable methods to confirm the result.
5 Sampling rules
