1 Subject Contents and Application Scope
This standard specifies the labeling system, indexes, test items, test methods and marks for the mechanical properties of fasteners made of non-ferrous metals.
This standard is applicable to the commodity fasteners such as bolts, screws, studs and nuts made of copper and copper alloys or aluminum and aluminum alloys, of which, the coarse thread diameter is 1.6~39mm and thread dimension and tolerance are in accordance with those specified in GB 196 and GB 197.
This standard is not applicable to set screws and similar threaded fasteners without definite tensile strength or nut proof load.
The property requirements of corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity are not specified in this standard.
