1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, test preparation, marking, packaging, protection and storage of marine piping valves and fittings (hereinafter referred to as valves and fittings).
This standard is applicable to the design, manufacturing and acceptance of universal valves and fittings of marine piping.

3 Requirements
3.1 Materials
3.1.1 Valve body and deck
The bodies and decks of valves and fittings shall be manufactured with materials meeting the requirements of relevant classification specifications. The application of new materials shall be verified and evaluated.
See Appendix A for common materials of valve body and deck.
3.1.2 Other parts
According to the functions of parts, other valve and fitting parts shall be manufactured with the anti-corrosion materials complying with their functions.

3.2 Wall thickness
The wall thickness of valves and fittings shall meet the requirements of CB/T 3927 in general situation while may be separately determined in special situation.
