Lifts subject to seismic conditions
1 Scope
This standard specifies the special requirements for the passenger lifts and goods lifts subject to seismic conditions, which are permanently installed in buildings conforming to GB 50011-2010.
This standard specifies the additional requirements given in GB 7588-2003 and GB 21240-2007.
This standard is applicable to the newly installed passenger lifts and goods lifts, and may also be used as basis for improving the safety of passenger lifts and goods lifts in service.
This standard is not applicable to the lifts of seismic lift category 0 defined in Table A.1.
This standard does not cover other risks caused by earthquakes, such as fire, flood or explosion.
