1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, label, instructions for use as well as packaging, transportation and storage of cookware for domestic induction cookers (hereinafter referred to as cookware).
It is applicable to cookware with flat bottom (including kettle) processed using metal material as the base material and used on domestic induction cookers (electromagnetic ranges).
It is not applicable to cookware with arc bottom.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

cookware with flat bottom
cookware whose bottom is in stable contact with the plane of the induction cooker
3.2
bottom with multilayer
cookware bottom bonded with one or more layers of metal
3.3
base with flat area diameter
diameter of the area where the cookware bottom is in stable contact with the plane of the induction cooker
3.4
active base diameter
diameter of magnetic induction zone where the cookware bottom can react with the induction cooker in the range of base with flat area diameter
3.5
active base area
projection area where the cookware bottom can react with the induction cooker in the range of base with flat area diameter
3.6
frequency characteristic of cookware magnetic materials
frequency range of cookware on standard induction cooker and under standard test conditions
3.7
standard induction cooker
a magnetic induction heating device designed to detect the characteristics of cookware for induction cooker according to technical specifications
