1 Scope
This standard specifies the variety classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, sampling, acceptance, packaging, marking, storage and transportation of acetylene black.
This standard is applicable to acetylene black prepared through pyrolysis of acetylene gas.

3 Variety classification
3.1 Powdered products.
3.2 50% compressed products. Compressed powdered acetylene black with apparent specific volume as half of that of powdered acetylene black.
3.3 75% compressed products. Compressed powdered acetylene black with apparent specific volume as a quarter of that of powdered acetylene black.
3.4 100% compressed products. Compressed powdered acetylene black with apparent specific volume as one fifth of that of powdered acetylene black.
