3 Requirements
3.1 Surface Quality Requirements for Metal Parts and Assemblies
Metal parts and assemblies shall be free from surface defects, such as indentations, pits, scratches, burning marks, local highlights after polishing, spots after electroplating and blistering. The surface colors of all parts and assemblies shall be uniform and coordinated.
3.2 Finishing Requirements for Metal Parts and Assemblies
3.2.1 General Provisions
Mirror polishing of metal parts and assemblies finishing refers to that the Ra value of surface roughness shall not be greater than 0.05μm; polishing refers to that the Ra value of surface roughness shall not be greater than 0.2μm.
As long as the finishing meets the surface roughness requirements, there is no limit to the machining method.
3.2.2 Gear parts
3.2.2.1 The roughness Ra value of the gear tooth shall not be greater than 0.4μm, and the tooth working face of the gear shall be mirror polished.
3.2.2.2 There shall be no sharp points between the outer edge of gear teeth and the plane.
3.2.2.3 The upper and lower surfaces of the gear shall be free from irregular machining lines and be polished.
3.2.2.4 The roughness Ra value of the lower surface of the strip box gear and the upper surface of the strip box cover shall not be greater than 0.4μm, and grinding and sandblasting, etc. are allowed.
3.2.3 Parts of Speed Regulating System
3.2.3.1 The tooth-shaped impact surface of the escapement gear shall be mirror polished and the locking surface shall be polished.
3.2.3.2 The roughness Ra value of the escapement fork mouth and fork head nail working face shall not be greater than 0.4μm.
3.2.3.3 The upper and lower planes of the escapement fork shall be free from irregular machining lines and be polished.
3.2.3.4 The upper plane of the balance wheel shall be polished; the inner circle of the upper plane shall be chamfered and polished; the spokes shall be free from irregular machining lines.
3.2.3.5 The exposed surface of the weight or screw cap of the weight balance wheel shall be polished.
3.2.3.6 The upper and lower planes of the movable outer pile ring and fast & slow needles shall be polished.
3.2.4 Parts of upper dial pin system
The surface of non-gear parts shall be flat, and the upper plane shall be polished.
3.2.5 Parts of splint system
3.2.5.1 The surface of splint shall be flat.; the exposed plane, the outer side of the splint, the inner groove and other surfaces shall be free from irregular machining lines. The exposed edges of all splints shall be chamfered and polished.
3.2.5.2 All splints shall be coordinated and have uniform surface texture.
3.2.5.3 Splint gem holes should be chamfered and polished.
3.2.6 Parts of automatic system
3.2.6.1 The gear and splint parts in automatic system shall meet the requirements in 3.2.2 and 3.2.5 respectively.
