1 Scope
This document describes the gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for the determination of 11 kinds of migratable organic tin in toy materials.
This document is applicable to the determination of 11 kinds of migratable organic tin in toy materials, including methyltin (MeT), Dimethyltin (DMT), dipropyltin (DProT), butyltin (BuT), dibutyltin (DBT), tributyltin (TBT), monooctyltin (MOT), dioctyltin (DOT), tetrabutyltin (TeBT), diphenyltin (DPhT), and triphenyltin (TPhT).

4 Classification of toy materials
Toy materials are mainly classified into the following three types.
——Type I toy materials: dry, fragile, powdery or flexible materials, including solid toy materials that will release powdery materials during use.
——Type II toy materials: liquid or viscous materials, including liquid or viscous toy materials that may be ingested or come into contact with skin during use.
——Type III toy materials: scrapable materials, including solid toy materials with or without coating that can be ingested into the body by biting by mouth, tearing by teeth, sucking or licking. In addition, such materials also include other materials that are not covered by Types I and II toy materials.
Table 1 gives common toy materials and their classification, and other toy materials need to be classified in the above way.
