This standard specifies the performance requirements and principles for selection of tests of general-purpose flat pallets for through transit of goods.
This standard is applicable to the design, production, inspection and use of general-purpose flat pallets for through transit of goods of roads, railways and waterways.

Performance requirements for tests 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9 in GB/T 4996-2014 are given in Table 1. The maximum observation from the tests shall be compared with the performance requirements in Table 1.
