1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods available for evaluating the performance of general-purpose flat pallets for through transit of goods.
This standard is applicable to the design, production, inspection and use of general-purpose flat pallets for through transit of goods of roads, railways and waterways.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 3716-2000 and GB/T 18354-2006 as well as the following apply. For the convenience of application, some terms and definitions specified in GB/T 3716-2000 are listed below.

horizontal plate used to assemble and stack goods for easy loading, unloading and handling
Note: Its minimum height shall be able to meet the handling requirements of pallet trucks, forklifts and other applicable loading and unloading equipment.

loading capacity of the specified pallet (in kg) under the condition of even and uniform load distribution, and only one rating is available for a specific pallet with net load capacity unknown. The rating is determined by test and cannot be changed
