1 Scope
This standard specifies chemical analysis of magnesia-alumina refractories. This standard covers the follosing analysis items:
a) Loss on ignition (LOI);
b) Silicon oxide (SiO2);
c) Aluminum oxide (Al2O3);
d) Ferric oxide (Fe2O3);
e) Titanium dioxide (TiO2);
f) Calcium oxide (CaO);
g) Magnesium oxide (MgO);
h) Potassium oxide (K2O);
i) Sodium oxide (Na2O);
j) Manganese oxide (MnO);
k) Phosphoric anhydride (P2O3);
1) Free calcium oxide in magnesite (F.CaO).
