1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to implementing the national technical and economic policies, saving resources, protecting the environment, promoting sustainable development and standardizing the assessment on green hotel building.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the assessment on green hotel building.
1.0.3 The assessment on green hotel building shall be comprehensive assessment on its performance of conservation of energy, land, water, material and environmental protection within its service life in line with the principle of adaptation to local conditions and also in combination with the climate, environment, resources, economy, culture and other characteristics at the location of the hotel building.
1.0.4 In addition to this standard, the assessment on green hotel building shall also comply with the requirements specified in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terminologies
2.0.1 Hotel building
Public building mainly providing temporary accommodation function and also having certain supporting service functions such as catering, business, conference and leisure, which is also often referred to as resort building, etc. According to the operational characteristics, the type of hotel building may be classified into business hotel building, conference hotel building, resort hotel building, apartment hotel building, pure accommodation (express) hotel building, etc.
2.0.2 Green hotel building
The hotel building that maximally saves resources (energy, land, water and material), protects the environment, reduces pollution, provides the hotel managers and users with a healthy, suitable and high-efficient using space and also in harmonious coexistence with the nature within its total service life.
3 Basic Requirements
3.1 General Requirements
3.1.1 The assessment on green hotel building shall target at single buildings or building groups. During assessment, any index in relation to systematicness or integrity shall be assessed based on the entirety of engineering project which the assessed single building or building group belongs to.
