This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing documents.
This document replaces GB/T 5336-2005 Repair specification for large passenger vehicle body. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the following main changes have been made with respect to GB/T 5336-2005:
a) The “Scope” is modified (see Clause 1; Clause 1 of Edition 2005);
b) A clause on "General requirements” is added, which is described separately by cutting, welding and bonding, riveting, bolting and fitting replacement (see Clause 4);
c) The requirements for cutting are added (see 4.1);
d) The requirements for welding are modified (see 4.2; 4.3.2 of Edition 2005);
e) The requirements for riveting are modified (see 4.3; 4.3.1 of Edition 2005);
f) The requirements for bolting are added (see 4.4);
g) The requirements for fitting replacement are added (see 4.5);
h) A clause on "Process requirements" is added, which is described separately by frame/vehicle body, inner and outer covering and ornaments, painting, installation of vehicle body accessories and electrical appliances, other requirements and special requirements for trucks (see Clause 5);
i) The requirements for replacing super-high strength vehicle body panels (such as front and rear bumper reinforcing beams) and vehicle body fasteners are added (see 5.1.2 and 5.1.3); the requirements for straightening the frame or unitary construction body after they are deformed are added (see 5.1.4); the requirements for verticality of the frame are added (see 5.1.7); the requirements for distance between diagonal intersection and centerline of frame are added (see 5.1.8); the requirements for repairing the lower end of the body column are modified (see 5.1.9; 4.1.2 of Edition 2005) ; the requirements for the radian of top cover beam are modified (see 5.1.11; 4.1.4 of Edition 2005);
j) The requirements for installation of various mounting brackets are deleted (see 4.1.9 of Edition 2005);
k) The requirements for flame retardancy of interior materials are modified (see 5.2.6; 4.2.4 of Edition 2005); the requirements that electroplated decorating parts and stainless steel parts shall be bright and the requirements for aluminum decorating parts are deleted (see 4.2.7 and 4.2.8 of Edition 2005);
l) The requirements for oil paint are modified (see 5.3; 4.4 of Edition 2005);
m) The requirements for instrument board are deleted (see 5.1.2 of Edition 2005);
n) The requirements for wipers are modified (see 5.4.1.2; 5.1.3 of Edition 2005); the requirements for oil outlet pipe and oil drain plug are deleted (see 5.1.7 of Edition 2005); the requirements for mounting and fixing points of safety belt and requirements for wiring harness are added (see 5.4.1.7 and 5.4.2.3); the requirements for electrical appliances are modified (see 5.4.2; 5.2 of Edition 2005);
o) The requirements for openable doors and windows, window glass lifters, door handles and electric lifting anti-pinch devices are added (see 5.5.2);
p) Special requirements for trucks are added (see 5.6);
q) The requirements for vehicle doors (safety doors) and windows, ticket counters and pedals, and in-vehicle toilets are deleted (see 4.5.2, 4.5.13 and 4.5.14 of Edition 2005);
r) The requirements that the vehicle body, bumper and fender shall be bilaterally symmetrical and the requirements for height difference between symmetrical parts from the ground are added (see 6.1.1); the requirements for mass of empty vehicle are modified (see 6.1.3; 6.3 of Edition 2005); the requirements for installation of various control mechanisms are deleted (see 6.4 of Edition 2005); the requirements for color and paint coating of vehicle body when the whole vehicle is painted and when it is partially painted are added (see 6.2.1 and 6.2.2);
s) The requirement that there shall be no sharp protrusions on the exterior and interior of the vehicle body is added (see 6.3.2);
t) The requirements for the number and location of external lighting are added (see 6.4.2);
u) The requirements for rain proof performance of the vehicle body are added (see 6.5);
v) The requirements for glasses of doors and windows, escape hatches and safety doors are modified (see 6.6.1 and 6.6.2; 4.5.3 and 6.5 of Edition 2005), and the requirements for emergency doors and emergency windows are added (see 6.6.3);
w) The requirements for vibration sound of vehicle skin are deleted (see 6.7 of Edition 2005);
x) Requirement for carrying completion inspection after the vehicle body is repaired is added (see 7.1);
y) The requirement for quality guarantee period is modified (see 7.2; Clause 7 of Edition 2005).
Technical requirements for vehicle body repair
1 Scope
This document specifies the general requirements, process requirements, completion inspection requirements and quality assurance requirements for vehicle body repair.
This document is applicable to the vehicle body repair of M2 and M3 buses and Type N trucks as specified in GB/T 15089.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 4780 and GB/T 5624 apply.
4 General requirements
4.1 Cutting
4.1.1 For components that are heavily deformed and not easy to correct, cold cutting or plasma cutting should be used; oxyacetylene cutting shall not be used to cut high strength steel plates.
4.1.2 During cutting, the strength support point and stress concentration area shall be bypassed. If there are cutting lines, follow those cutting lines.
4.2 Welding and bonding
4.2.1 Before welding, the oil stain, rust and coating on the surface of the plate shall be removed, and the steel plate inside the welded seam shall be subjected to anti-rust treatment.
4.2.2 Appropriate welding methods shall be selected based on the types and structural characteristics of materials and the technical information on vehicle maintenance published by vehicle manufacturers.
4.2.3 Aluminium products shall be welded by argon arc welding or inert gas arc welding, and they shall be back welded. When they are welded vertically, perform it from bottom to top.
4.2.4 The surface of weld seam and welding spot shall be smooth and uniform, without welding defects such as welding penetration, desoldering, missing welding and slag inclusion.
4.2.5 The welded parts of the body frame and other structural parts should be inspected using a flaw detector, and the welds shall be free of cracks.
4.2.6 When the driver's seat is repaired, it shall not be fixed by welding; the leaf spring support, lifting lug base and frame shall not be welded together.
4.2.7 After welding, anti-corrosion and anti-rust treatment shall be carried out on the welded parts and exposed parts.
4.2.8 Components with bonding requirements shall be bonded in accordance with the vehicle maintenance technical information specified by the vehicle manufacturers.
4.3 Riveting
4.3.1 The riveting shall be solid and firm, and all rivets shall be flat and fastened, arranged in order and spaced evenly.
4.3.2 The rivet heads shall be free from damage, deflection, crushing, head deformity, etc.
