GB/T 5462-2015 Industrial salt
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification, technical requirements, test methods, batching and sampling, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of industrial salt.
This standard is applicable to industrial salt made from seawater (including coastal underground brine), salt mined from lake salt, or salt lake brine, rock salt or underground brine as raw materials.
2 Normative references
The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated references, only the edition cited applies. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
solar industrial salt
industrial salt prepared by solar evaporation and crystallization process of brine
3.2
refined industrial salt
industrial salt prepared with brine or salt as raw materials by vacuum evaporation and salt manufacturing process and mechanical hot compression evaporation and salt manufacturing process The dried industrial salt is industrial dry salt, and the undried industrial salt is industrial wet salt.
4 Classification
Industrial salt is classified by process into solar industrial salt and refined industrial salt. Refined industrial salt is classified by characteristics into industrial dry salt and industrial wet salt.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Sensory requirements
White, yellowish or bluish-white crystals without apparent foreign impurities relevant to the product.
5.2 Physical and chemical indicators
The physical and chemical indicators of industrial salt shall be as specified in Table 1.
