3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
chlorine dioxide concentration
mass of chlorine dioxide contained per unit volume in the solution at the outlet of the generator
Note: In mg/L.
3.2
output of chlorine dioxide
mass of chlorine dioxide produced by the chlorine dioxide generator per unit time under the rated working state
Note: In g/h or kg/h.
3.3
purity of chlorine dioxide
percentage of the concentration of chlorine dioxide in the outlet solution to the sum of the concentrations of all oxychloride substances under the rated working condition of the generator. If the outlet of the generator is gas, the purity is determined and calculated by the solution after absorption of pure water
Note 1: The calculation equation is as follows:
Note 2: The total concentration of all chlorine oxidizing substances refers to the sum of the concentrations of ClO2, Cl2, ClO2- and ClO3- measured by the five-step iodometry, mg/L.
3.4
the percent yield of chlorine dioxide
percentage of chlorine dioxide production measured within a certain period of time to the theoretical value calculated using the main reaction equation
3.5
chlorine dioxide disinfectant generator
equipment that uses reaction raw materials to undergo chemical reactions to produce chlorine dioxide as the main product and is used for disinfection
Note: Where this equipment can directly disinfect air and medical equipment, it is also called chlorine dioxide disinfecting machine.
3.6
pure chlorine dioxide disinfectant generator
chlorine dioxide disinfectant generator with chlorine dioxide purity greater than or equal to 90%
3.7
mixed disinfectant generator of chlorine dioxide and chlorine
generating device using sodium chlorate and hydrochloric acid as main raw materials to generate mixed disinfectants such as chlorine dioxide and chlorine gas through chemical reaction
4 Raw material requirements
4.1 Chemical raw materials with corresponding specifications and purity shall be selected according to the reaction principle, purity and use of the final product.
4.2 The raw materials used shall comply with the hygienic and safety requirements of GB/T 26366 and corresponding national standards and relevant regulations. Hydrochloric acid shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 320, sulfuric acid shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 534, sodium chlorate shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 1618, sodium chlorite shall comply with the requirements of HG/T 3250, hydrogen peroxide shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 1616, urea shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 2440, white granulated sugar shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 317, sodium chloride shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 5462 and sodium bisulfate for industrial use shall comply with the requirements of HG/T 4516.
