3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 5329 and the following apply.
3.1
test sieve
measuring instrument used for sieving
Note: ISO/IEC Guide 99:2007 defines a "measuring instrument" as a device used for making measurements, alone or in conjunction with one or more supplementary devices.
4 Designation
Test sieves of metal wire cloth shall be designated by the frame size, nominal aperture size and metal wire diameter (referred to as "wire diameter").
Example 1:
A test sieve of metal wire cloth with a frame size of φ200mm×50mm, a nominal aperture size of 90mm and a wire diameter of 6.3mm shall be designated as: φ200×50—90/6.3 GB/T 6003.1-2022.
Example 2:
A test sieve of metal wire cloth with a frame size of φ200mm×50mm, a nominal aperture size of 900μm and a wire diameter of 500μm shall be designated as: φ200×50—0.9/0.5 GB/T 6003.1-2022.
