HG/T 3927-2020 Activated aluminium oxide for industrial use
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling as well as packaging, transportation and storage of activated aluminium oxide for industrial use.
This standard is applicable to the activated aluminium oxide for industrial use. This product is used in oil refining, chemical fertilizer, petrochemical, natural gas, oxygen production and chemical industry, etc. It is mainly used as gas and liquid adsorbent, fluorine adsorbent, chlorine adsorbent, desiccant and catalyst carrier.

4 Classification
The activated aluminium oxide for industrial use is classified into 6 classes:
——Class I: used for adsorption and dehydration of various hydrocarbon gases, natural gas, petroleum cracking gas, etc.;
——Class II: used for defluorination of drinking water and industrial water;
——Class III: used for regeneration of anthraquinone in the working solution in the hydrogen peroxide production process;
——Class IV: used for dechlorination of various gases, viscous resins and other liquids;
——Class V: used as a carrier for various catalysts;
——Class VI: used as an air separation desiccant.
5 Requirements
5.1 Appearance: white or white-like spherical particles.
5.2 The activated aluminium oxide for industrial use shall be tested with the test methods specified in this standard and shall meet those specified in Table 1.
