3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
Zinc alloy ingots for casting are divided into 11 designations according to chemical compositions. The corresponding relationship between the designations of zinc alloy ingots for casting in this standard and the foreign standards is shown in Annex B.
3.2 Chemical compositions
The chemical compositions of zinc alloy ingots for casting shall meet those specified in Table 1.
3.3 Physical specifications
3.3.1 The zinc alloy ingot for casting is a rectangular trapezoidal ingot with a groove at the bottom for breaking the ingot easily [see Figure 1a) and Figure 1b)]
3.3.2 In order to facilitate the packaging and transportation of zinc alloy ingots for casting, footed ingots may be used at the bottom of each bundle [see Figure 1c)].
3.3.3 Generally, the single small zinc alloy ingot for casting shall not be greater than 25kg, while the big one is 300kg to 400kg.
