1 Scope
This Standard specifies terms and definitions, classification and designation, requirements, test methods, rest rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of polytetrafluoroethylene bellows compensators (hereafter referred to as compensators).
This Standard is applicable to the compensators using polytetrafluoroethylene as the overflowing position for the purpose of flexible compensation action for the pipelines, with nominal pressure PN not greater than 1.6 MPa, nominal dimension of DN25 mm~1000 mm, and operating temperature of -50℃~180℃, under the media of various concentrations, e.g. sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrofluoric acid, benzene, alkali, aqua regia, organic solvent, reductant, and strongly-corrosive gas and liquid.
This Standard is not applicable to the compensators under such media as fused alkali, sodium metal, potassium, chlorine trifluoride and gaseous fluorine.
