This standard specifies the tolerance class and limit deviation values of general tolerances for linear and angular dimensions without individual tolerance indications. This standard is applicable to the dimension of metal-cutting process as well as the general stamping process. And the non metallic material and other technological process dimension may also refer to this standard.
This standard is only suitable for the following dimension without tolerance indication:
a) Linear dimension (For example, external dimension, internal dimension, staircase dimension, diameter, semidiameter, distance, rounding semidiameter and chamfered angel height);
b) angular dimension,(including the angular dimension without angular value), for example, right angle (90°); and the angle as indicated in GB/T 1184 or polygonous angle is excluded;
c) Linear and angular dimensions for machine worked assembly parts.
This standard is not applicable to the following dimensions:
a) The linear and angular dimensions involved in other general tolerance standard;
b) Reference dimension in the parentheses;
c) The theoretically right dimensions in rectangular column.
