1.1 The methods of thermodynamic performance test for centrifugal & axial blower and compressor are specified in this standard. 1.2 This standard is applicable to the thermodynamic performance test of centrifugal & axial blower, compressor and exhauster (hereinafter referred to as compressor) with greater than 1.15 pressure ratio and known gas physical parameters. 1.3 The thermodynamic performance parameters of the compressor under design conditions shall be determined through test and calculation. a) Inlet volume flow of the compressor b) Boost pressure or pressure ratio of the compressor; c) The shaft power of the compressor; d) Efficiency of the compressor; e) Surge limit of the compressor. The relation curves of flow capacity & boost pressure (or pressure ratio) and shaft power & efficiency of the compressor under design speed shall be drawn according to the above performance parameters. If subsection (cylinder) tests are carried out for the compressor, its performance may be presented by the performance curve of each section, or the performance curve of the complete machine may be presented by the superposition of the performance curve of each section (cylinder). 1.4 The requirements are the minimum for the measuring instruments and methods recommended in this standard, and measuring instruments and methods with the same or higher accuracy can also be applied.

Introduction of JB/T 3165-1999
