1 Scope
This standard specifies classification, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, etc. of blocks (or penetrant blocks) for penetrant testing.
This standard is applicable to the type inspection and end-of-manufacturing inspection of penetrant blocks and can also serve as acceptance basis for the ordered goods of the users.
Note: the penetrant blocks to which this standard is applicable do not include Types 1 and 2 blocks specified in GB/T 18851.3.
