1 Scope
This standard specifies the types and basic parameters of drum shearer (hereinafter referred to as shearer) used to the longwall coal face in the underground mining.
This standard is applicable to the shearer with drum as the operating mechanism.
2 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.
2.1
Cutting motor
It refers to the motor specialized for driving and cutting drum.
2.2
Travel motor
It refers to the adjustable-speed motor controlling and driving the traveling wheel through electrical speed-governing in the electrical speed-governing shearer, or the motor specialized for driving the traveling wheel.
2.3
Main motor
It refers to the motor simultaneously driving such major function components as cutting component and traveling component. Main motor is generally in the type of double-output shaft structure.
2.4
Total installed power
It refers to the sum of the nominal power of all the motors of the shearer. As for the external haulage shearer, it shall include the nominal power of the travel motor installed at both ends of the working face.
2.5
Maximum cutting height
It refers to the vertical height from the top of the drum to the baseplane of the matching working face scraper conveyor (hereinafter referred to as conveyor) when the ranging arm of the shearer swings to the highest position.
2.6
Machine height
It refers to the vertical height from the upper plane of the main body to the baseplane of the conveyor. As for the floor-based shearer, it refers to the vertical height from the upper plane of main body below support top beam to the baseplane of conveyor.
2.7
Dinting depth
It refers to the maximum depth that the shearer drum may be structurally dinted to the baseplane of conveyor.
2.8
Ranging arm length
It refers to the straight-line distance from the arm trunnion center to the drum centre.
2.9
Distance between arm trunnion centres
As for the double-drum shearer, it refers to the straight-line distance between two arm trunnion centres; as for the single-drum shearer, it refers to the straight-line distance from the arm trunnion centre to another end face of the main body.
2.10
Thin seam shearer
It refers to the shearer, mainly used to the thin seam mining, whose minimum drum diameter is not greater than 1000mm and machine height is not higher than 750mm.
2.11
Steeply inclined seam shearer
It refers to the shearer applicable to the coal seam inclination between 35°~55°.
2.12
Shortwall shearer
It refers to the shearer applicable to longwall coal-mining method, with relatively short coal face length.
3 Types
3.1 According to the quantity of drum:
a) Single-drum shearer;
b) Double-drum shearer.
3.2 According to the traveling mechanism type:
a) Haulage travel shearer;
b) Wheeltrack meshing travel shearer.
3.3 According to the speed-governing mode of travel driving device:
a) Mechanical speed-governing shearer;
b) Hydraulic speed-governing shearer;
c) Electrical speed-governing shearer.
