1 Scope
This part of GB/T 35060 specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the complete machine of shearer for the underground coal mining working face.
This part is applicable to the shearers used by longwall mining (hereinafter referred to as “shearer”).

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 15663.10-2008 and the following apply.

4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The shearer shall be manufactured and installed according to the drawings and technical documents approved by prescribed procedures.
4.1.2 The shearer shall run normally under the following ambient conditions:
a) explosive atmospheres such as gas and coal dust;
b) ambient temperature of 0℃~+40℃;
c) relative humidity of the ambient air of not more than 95% (at 25℃);
d) altitude of not higher than 1 000m.
Note: Shearers used beyond the above ambient conditions may be designed and used according to the agreement between the manufacturer and the user.
4.1.3 The type symbolization of shearers shall meet the requirements of MT/T 83.
4.1.4 The basic parameters of shearers shall meet the requirements of MT/T 84.
4.1.5 Raw materials used for manufacturing shearers shall meet the drawing requirements, and their chemical composition and mechanical properties shall meet the requirements of relevant national and professional standards.
4.1.6 The type, specification and performance of standard parts and procured parts shall meet the design requirements.
4.1.7 Parts processed according to the design drawings shall pass the inspection.
4.1.8 The display screen, display instrument, operation button and handle position of shearer shall facilitate the observation and safe operation.
4.1.9 The shearer shall be provided with the following safety measures:
a) equipped with locking device which may stop the running of working face scraper conveyor;
b) equipped with clutch device to isolate motor and cutting drum reliably;
c) equipped with disconnecting switch with which the power supply can be cut off manually;
d) equipped with emergency stop switch to cut off the power of the shearer in case of emergency;
e) equipped with on-board methane breaker or portable methane detection warning instrument;
f) equipped with start warning signal device;
g) equipped with water-cutoff protection device;
h) equipped with inner- and outer-water-spraying devices;
i) when the inclination angle of the working face is greater than 10°, anti-skid devices shall be set.
4.2 Overall assembly requirements
4.2.1 The electrical equipment shall meet the requirements of GB 3836.1 ~ GB 3836.4 and relevant standards, and shall have the “explosion-proof certificate” issued by the explosion-proof department approved and authorized by the state and the “mining products safety label certificate” issued by organization designated by the state.
4.2.2 The terminal identification of cables and wiring terminal shall meet the requirements of GB/T 4026.
4.2.3 The selection of hydraulic oils shall meet the requirements of GB 11118.1.
4.2.4 The cutting transmission unit shall meet the requirements of GB/T 35060.2.
4.2.5 The haulage driving unit shall meet the requirements of GB/T 35060.3.
4.2.6 The cutting (main) motor shall meet the requirements of MT/T 476.
4.2.7 The cable entry devices shall meet the requirements of JB/T 4262.
4.2.8 The selection of lubricating oil for enclosed gear transmission shall meet the requirements of JB/T 8831.
4.2.9 The polymer products adopted shall meet the requirements of MT 113.
4.2.10 The cable protected clamp of the cable handler shall meet the requirements of MT/T 117, and shall have the "mining products safety label certificate" issued by the organization designated by the state.
4.2.11 The rubber pipes shall meet the requirements of MT 191, and shall have the "mining products safety label certificate" issued by the organization designated by the state.
4.2.12 The helical drum for shearers shall meet the requirements of MT/T 321, and shall have the "mining products safety label certificate" issued by the organization designated by the state.
4.2.13 The flame retardant cables for coal mine shall meet the requirements of MT 818.2 ~ MT 818.5, and shall have the "mining products safety label certificate" issued by the organization designated by the state.
4.2.14 The hydraulic elements shall meet the requirements of MT/T 459.
4.2.15 The hydraulic nuts and their high-strength fasteners shall meet the requirements of MT/T 913.
4.2.16 Fasteners shall be tightened according to the order and torque specified in the design, and hydraulic nuts shall be tightened in the specified manner.
