1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements for eddy current testing of tube products for mechanical components in nuclear island of nuclear power plants.
This document is applicable to eddy current testing during manufacturing and installation of tube products for mechanical components in nuclear island of nuclear power plants.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 12604.6 and NB/T 20003.1 and the following apply.
3.1
reference tube
sample tube used for adjusting and reviewing testing systems and processing artificial defects
3.2
testing coil
toroidal coil or coil group that induces eddy current signals
4 General requirements
4.1 Testing personnel
The requirements specified in 5.1 of NB/T 20003.1-2021 shall apply.
4.2 Testing documents
4.2.1 Basic requirements for testing documents
The testing procedures, process cards or other testing documents shall meet the requirements of 5.4 in NB/T 20003.1-2021. Eddy current testing shall be carried out in accordance with valid written testing documents.
4.2.2 Main contents of testing procedures
The following contents shall be included:
——application scope;
——design documents, standards, and regulations referenced;
——qualification of testing personnel;
——designation, nominal outer diameter and nominal thickness of the tube;
——testing conditions: testing time, testing area and surface conditions;
——adjustment of testing system: testing frequency setting, phase adjustment, sensitivity adjustment, etc.;
——reviewing of testing system;
——testing technology;
——recording guidelines;
——acceptance criteria;
——filing and preservation of testing documents, records, reports and other information;
——preparation, examination and approval of procedures.
