1 Scope
This standard specifies the office chair in terms of terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard is applicable to work chair in the office and meeting room and may be used for similar chairs at other occasions as a reference.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpuse of this standard, the following terminologies and definitions apply.
3.1
Office chair
One-man seat for office work.
3.2
Swivel chair
Office chair of which seat can rotate horizontally.
3.3
Adjuster
Mechanism by which the chair parts are changed in the relative position, angle or rigidity.
3.4
Locking device
Device which makes moving parts of chair in position and locks them up.
3.5
Sliding friction
Resistance produced when the unloaded swivel chair translates on the steel plate surface and the pressure wheel slides.
3.6
Trundle friction
Resistance produced when the unloaded swivel chair translates on the steel plate surface and the caster slides.
3.7
Shape symmetry
Extent of the error among symmetry plane where parts are located, diagonals or circle diameter.
