This standard specifies the determination principle, apparatus, conditions, steps, and result expression of the specific heat capacity of composite solid propellant.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the specific heat capacity of composite solid propellant. It is also applicable to the determination of the specific heat capacity of liner and insulation materials.
2 Determination principle
The outer layer of the calorimeter body is thermal insulation material, which insulates the heat flow meter, soaking block, and temperature control heater in the calorimeter from the outside. Two heat flow meters with the same structure are placed in the middle of the soaking block, and a sample cell with specimens and an empty reference cell are placed in the heat flow meters. The temperature of the specimen is raised (ΔT) by the Peltier current. When the temperature of the specimen is uniform, the Peltier current is cut off, and the specimen returns to its original temperature. The heat released during the temperature recovery process is measured, and the specific heat capacity of the specimen is obtained.
3 Specimen
3.1 The manufacture, sampling, quality requirements, and storage conditions of the specimen shall meet the requirements of QJ 1113 Specimens for performance test of composite solid propellant.
3.2 The propellant specimen is processed into powder with the wooden file.
3.3 Put about 6g of the processed specimen into the sample cell, weigh it (accurate to 0.0001g), and cover it for later use.
