3.1 The raw materials for performance characterization of composite solid propellant shall comply with relevant standards and relevant technical documents. The performance characterization of propellant shall be carried out in the finalization stage.
3.2 The formula and manufacturing process of composite solid propellant samples for performance characterization shall be consistent with those of finalized propellant.
3.3 The characterization organization shall prepare the performance characterization report of composite solid propellant.
3.4 The performance characterization of composite solid propellant shall be conducted in accordance with the characterization items and methods specified in Clause 4. Other special items shall be carried out in accordance with the task book.
3.5 The characterization items of composite solid propellant are classified into mandatory items and optional items. The mandatory items are applicable to the performance characterization of all kinds of composite solid propellant. The optional items may be chosen by the supplier and the purchaser through negotiation in accordance with the characteristics and uses of specific propellants.
